no hacer nada

[EUS] "Ez ezer egin" erakusketa-proposamen bat da, ezer ez egitearen erabakiari buruzkoa. Proiektu hau berrogeialdian sortu zen, etxean geratzea bera asko egitea zen une batean. Artistek erakusketa-aretoa hutsik edo itxuraz obrarik gabe uzteko erabakia hartu zuten obrak eta erakusketak ikertzen aritu nintzen, eta horren guztiaren atzealde ideologikoa.

[ES] “No hacer nada” es una propuesta expositiva sobre la decisión de “no hacer nada”. Este proyecto surgió en la cuarentena, en un momento en que quedarse en casa y ya era hacer mucho. Estuve investigando obras y exposiciones en que artistas habían tomado la decisión de dejar la sala de exposiciones vacía o aparentemente sin obra y el trasfondo ideológico de todo aquello.

[ENG] "Doing nothing" is an exhibition proposal about the decision of "doing nothing". This project emerged in the quarantine days, at a time when staying at home was already doing too much. I was researching works and exhibitions in which artists had made the decision to leave the exhibition hall empty or apparently without a work and the ideological background of all that.

Por otro lado, relacioné esta acción del no acción con el bosque de Artikutza. Este lugar es un valle carca de mi pueblo donde hasta hace poco había un embalse que hasta mediados del siglo pasado abastecía San Sebastián. Relaciono este espacio con el tema del no hacer nada por dos razones: 1.- La actividad humana ha estado siempre muy limitada en este paraje para conservar la calidad del aire y del agua. 2.- En 2018 se decidió vaciar el embalse y no intervenir en el espacio para estudiar cómo el río original retomaba su cauce y cómo la vida se adueñaba del espacio.

Propongo la figura arquitectónica de la “Borda” como infraestructura para la exposición por ser reconocible para los visitantes de la zona como lugar de cobijo, y también por las condiciones climatológicas que exigen un lugar cerrado. Sin embargo lo planteo totalmente blanco para hacer referencia a la estética museística y el “White Cube”.

Bestalde, ekintza ezaren ekintza hau Artikutzako basoarekin lotu nuen. Leku hau nire herritik gertu dagoen haran bat da, duela gutxi arte Donostia hornitzen zuen urtegi bat zegoena. Espazio hau bi arrazoirengatik lotzen dut ezer ez egitearen gaiarekin: 1.- Giza jarduera oso mugatua egon da beti inguru honetan airearen eta uraren kalitatea mantentzeko. 2.- 2018an, urtegia hustea eta espazioan ez esku hartzea erabaki zen, jatorrizko ibaiak bere ibilguari nola heltzen zion eta bizitza espazioaren jabe nola egiten zen aztertzeko.

On the other hand, I related this action of non-action with the forest of Artikutza. This place is a valley near my town where until recently there was a reservoir that used to supplie San Sebastian. I relate this space with the theme of doing nothing for two reasons: 1.- Human activity has always been very limited in this place to preserve the quality of air and water. 2.- In 2018 it was decided to empty the reservoir and not to intervene in the space to study how the original river resumed its course and how life took over the space.

Borda denaren figura arkitektonikoa proposatzen dut erakusketarako azpiegitura gisa, inguruko bisitarientzat babesleku gisa irudi ezaguna delako eta baita baldintza klimatologikoak direla eta, leku itxi bat eskaintzen duelako. Hala ere, erabat zuri planteatzen dut museo estetikari eta "White Cube"-ari erreferentzia egiteko.

I propose the architectural figure of the "Borda" as infrastructure for the exhibition because it is recognizable for visitors of the area as a place of shelter, and also because of the weather conditions that require an enclosed place. However, I propose it totally white to make reference to the museum aesthetics and the "White Cube".
